What is the TGMscan app?

The TGMscan app enables you to use the TGMmini (and TGM 5) in different modes, to detect different indicated values. Furthermore it enables you to assign the measured data to a certain door of the car, to assign the data to an individual car via Barcode scan an to save and send the measured data to other devices.

How to use the TGMscan application:

1. How to install the app?
   • Download the app from the google play store
   • Give the app permission for: camera (barcode scanner), photos and videos (data export), location (bluetooth), nearby devices (bluetooth) (if by consent when starting app for first time, restart necessary for every permission)
   • Notice: the app does not transmit or save any data of the user to glasmacher electronic GmbH or other third parties.
2. Connecting the TGMmini with the TGMscan app
   • activate Bluetooth on your smartphone
   • turn on the TGMmini
   • open the TGMscan app
   • press “scan for bluetooth”
   • App shows: “connected to:TGMmini(+device number)”
3. What is the “measuring mode”
   • In “measuring mode”, while executing the series of measurements, the user indicates after every measurement, whether the door closed correctly. That way, the app determines the minimum velocity necessary to close the door.
4. How to select the “measuring mode”
   • press “config”
   • select “Measuring mode ON”
   • select either “Choose a door” or “No door choice necessary”
   • select either “Scan the car identity” or “No scan necessary”
   • select “No test mode”
   • select “save config”
   • you are now in the “Measuring mode”
5. How to use the “Measuring mode”
   • open and close the car door
   • indicate after every closure, whether the door closed or not
   • as soon as the range between the maximum speed of non closing and the minimum speed of closing is under 0.1 m/s, the measuring mode result (resultMM) pops up.
   • select “save data” to keep the resultMM in the cache of the app (list at the very bottom)
6. What is the “test mode”
   • In “test mode”, the user can define a speed range. The app will then indicate after every closure, if the door speed was within the defined range. Green means, within the range, red means out of range.
7. How to select the “test mode”
   • press “config”
   • select “Measuring mode OFF”
   • select either “Choose a door” or “No door choice necessary”
   • select either “Scan the car identity” or “No scan necessary”
   • select “Test mode ON”
   • select “save config”
   • your are now in the “test mode”
8. Save and send the data
   • select “send file”
   • choose the prefered way to export the data.
